Arizona Insurance

September 29, 2010

Their seems to be a misconception on insurance nowadays that I believe we should clear up. When I am helping a new client for the first time, I ask “Whats type of insurance would you like?” more often than not the client will respond “Oh, whatever the police wants.” or “The one for the cops.” First, let me say yes, liability insurance will keep the police from issuing a ticket or towing your vehicle, but the insurance is not to benefit the police, it’s for YOU to use. The right coverage will protect others, your family, and yourself in case of an accident weather you’re at fault or not. The right amount of liability coverage will protect you in case you are ever at fault in an accident, it will prevent the other party from going after you directly. So many times I have heard of people getting sued and losing money and even assets since they either didn’t have insurance or didn’t have enough insurance. You do not want to find yourself in a situation like this. Also remember that although the liability just covers others in case you hit them, you can also have coverage for yourself and your passengers! With the un-insured and under-insured coverages, you will have medical coverage for passengers and yourself in case the driver at fault and say, they don’t have insurance, leave the scene of the accident (Hit and Run) or even if their insurance isn’t sufficient to cover the losses. Here at Oasis insurance, our main priority is You, not the police, not the MVD, not even Sheriff Joe. We want to make sure that you are properly taken care of and all of your needs are met. Be sure to ask about these coverages the next time you speak to an agent, we are happy to help.

Comprehensive Coverage covers your vehicle in the event of damage or loss from something other than a collision. This includes theft, vandalism, nature, animals. Just like Collision insurance, it is not required by law. Normally if you have a loan or are leasing a vehicle, finance companies do require you carry comprehensive and collision.

Uninsured & Underinsured Motorist Coverage

Uninsured and Underinsured motorist coverage is such an important coverage to have, especially in Arizona. Unfortunately there are too many drivers who don’t have insurance. For a low cost in many cases, you can make sure you and your passenger’s medical costs are covered in case you’re involved in accident with someone who doesn’t have insurance or may but not enough coverage for your medical costs.

Not only does Uninsured and Underinsured motorist coverage cover you and your passengers medical, it can also cover lost wages if due to the injuries you sustained in accident; or cover you while driving other vehicles or riding as a passenger.

Insurance Payment Options

September 29, 2010

Here at Oasis Insurance we offer over 35 different Auto Insurance carriers and most of our companies will offer a payment play of electronic fund transfer better known as EFT. Why its beneficial to have this payment plan? One reason is most of the time your billing fee’s are cut in half therefore makes it less expensive on the monthly payment and some companies even offer a discount on top of dropping billing fee’s.The reason for charging less on billing fee’s is not having to send you an invoice every month by mail. Another reason would be to avoid late payments and late fee’s, as long as the funds are in the account the day of drafting your payment will always be there on time. Most customers on EFT would agree its convenient not to have to call in, come in or mail payment every month and as fast as our day’s/ months go by who doesn’t want to make things more convenient! One thing you do need to be aware of is if you change your account information or you do not wish for the company to no longer automatically withdrawl the next payment, most companies will require as little as 7 days or as much as 30 days advance notice to stop a draft from occuring to give time from our oasis office to your insurance carrier and to the bank. So if your looking at saving as much as possible, consider setting your insurance payment up on on the EFT plan.Come see an Oasis Insurance Agent at 7510 W Thomas Rd ste 106. We are here to help you!!! Saving every penny counts!!

DUI

September 29, 2010

According to strict ARIZONA DUI LAWS, you could be fined as much as $150,000, spend more than 10 years in prison and lose your license for 3 years if you are convicted of a felony ARIZONA DUI.
First time offenders are not off the hook though. Even if this is your first DUI offense, you may have to pay fines and spend time behind bars as well.
You could lose your license right away after your drunk driving arrest. In fact, you only have 15 days from the date of your arrest to request a MVD hearing. If you don’t make this request on time, your license will be suspended.

In your criminal case, your ARIZONA DUI can be prosecuted in one of two ways: either by one’s driving ability being impaired to the slightest degree as the result of consuming alcohol (or other drugs), or by violating the “PER SE” law, and having a blood alcohol level of .08% or greater within two hours of driving. That means the
prosecution only has to prove that you were either over the legal limit, or that your driving was impaired by alcohol.
