So many people out there don’t have a clue how important it is to be properly covered. Properly covered? What dose properly mean? Well let me explain to you what this means. Depending on your financial status and your assets you should be adjusting your coverage to adequately cover your finances and assets. Take this story as an example, happened to a friend of mine. He had 2 homes,3 cars a good 20,000 in the bank. A family man, with 2 kids and a wife was involved in a severe car accident with a 10 passenger van that unfortunately had every seat occupied. He was determined to be 100% at fault. At the end of this terrible ordeal he was facing a $205,000 hospital bill along with personal suits from the passengers. To make a long story short him and his family are now living in a 1bedroom apartment and up to this day they still garnish his wages to finish paying what he owes . So next time your in our offices please take the time and ask your agent if you are properly covered. They have the knowledge, experience, and the coverages that you need. oasisinsurance.com

I’ve have come across a lot of people that think if they have personal health insurance, that they not need uninsured motorist/under insured motorist. Most people don’t have the complete knowledge of what exactly it covers. This is a coverage that is very beneficial to your whole family, its an important self-help tool that generally is pretty affordable. Its important for people to protect themselves in case they get into an accident with someone who either has no auto insurance or doesn’t have enough coverage you also get compensated for pain and suffering. Its an important coverage for consumers because it protects them in situations they cant plan for. Without this coverage, their only recourse would be to sue an individual. Uninsured coverage also covers you if a hit-and-run motorist you and your passengers receive compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering and other injury-related losses. You can sue that person, but if that driver has nothing, you’ll get nothing. Uninsured motorist protection can help you in another way. “Lets say you or your children is pedestrian. If you carry this coverage and you get hit by a car while you’re trying to cross the street or the kids are playing on the sidewalk, this coverage could pay your medical expenses and lost wages. Under insured motorist protection pays you for damages that surpass the amount of coverage carried by a driver who is under insured. “That’s valuable, because many drivers carry minimum limits, and that may be insufficient to cover your injuries and lost wages. oasisinsurance.com Written By Jennifer C, Zarate Office Manager/Insurance agent MANAGER @ S CENTRAL PHONE #602-323-9736 FAX# 602-323-9737

I had a representative visit me the other day, we went over a few good topics. After talking to my rep, he once again told me how important Renters Insurance is. Now I know we all know its important to insure our personal property while renting , but do we all understand how important it is to also cover your liability while renting? He went on with his visit and told me a quick TRUE story. A lady was renting an apartment and a fire broke out in the kitchen, she did not carry insurance. The consequence was she lost a lot of her own personal belongings, and on top of that, she was responsible for the damages caused in the apartment. This lady was being sued for over $20,000. If she had only purchased a renters policy for less than $10 a month, ay least $10,000 of her personal property would have been covered and $50,000 of liability. This is important, PLEASE think twice if you are renting and you turn down renters insurance. *Corina Gonzales, Office Manager/Insurance Agent. Oasis Insurance
